Rajasthan: Six killed, four others injured in road accidents in Nagaur and Bharatpur

At least six people, including a couple, lost their lives and four others sustained serious injuries in two separate road mishaps that took place in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur and Nagaur districts. While a head-on collision between two trucks caused the accident in Nagaur district, a jeep rammed into a car leading to a tragic mishap in Bharatpur district.

Accident in Nagaur district

As many as three men lost their lives on the spot after two trucks collided with each other in the Kuchera area of Nagaur district. The deceased were identified as Salim Khan, Shaitan Rawat and Salman.

While Salim Khan and Shaitan Rawat were the drivers of two ill-fated trucks, Salman was a cleaner.

As soon as the accident took place, the passers-by rushed to help the victims and informed the nearest police station. All the victims were removed from the trucks and shifted to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead.

Accident in Bharatpur district

A speeding jeep rammed into a car from behind leading to the death of three people, including a couple, in Bharatpur’s Ucchain area.

According to a senior police officer, the couple and another person travelling in the car died on the spot. “Four others, who were in the jeep, sustained serious injuries,” the officer said, adding that the injured victims were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The deceased were identified as 35-year-old Samitabh and his pregnant wife Doli Mishra and 32-year-old Dinesh Rajpur.

“The post-mortem examination was conducted and later the bodies of the deceased were handed over to family members,” a senior police officer added.

Accident on Jaipur-Agra Highway

On September 23, 11 people were killed and 15 others injured after a trailer and bus collided with each other on Jaipur-Agra Highway. The bus was en-route to Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura from Gujarat’s Bhavnagar.
