Berhampur, 22/4 (Abhijit Kar): After the Election Commission announced the date of filing nomination papers for the 2024 election, the Assembly candidates of Berhampur Lok Sabha constituency have submitted their nomination papers. Similarly, on Monday, BJD’s candidate Biplab Patra has submitted his nomination papers for the Digapahandi Assembly constituency. On Monday morning, after seeking blessings at the funeral of his father and former Minister, Senior MLA Late Surya Narayan Patra in Kapamandi, a suburb of Digapahandi town, he came to Berhampur in a huge procession of thousands of party leaders and workers along with his supporters and submitted their Nomination to the Election Officer at Berhampur Sub – District Collector’s office. However, Mr. Patra has submitted a total of 4 sets of Nomination forms. There has been an outpouring of enthusiasm among allies and well-wishers after the submission of nomination papers by Mr. Patra.

In this context, the MLA candidate Mr. Patra expressed his opinion that the Honorable Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has chosen me as the MLA candidate for the love and support of the general public of Digapahandi constituency and expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Chief Minister. In addition, he said, “I will fulfill the trust that the honorable Chief Minister has placed on me, so I have requested the general public to vote for me and strengthen the hands of the Chief Minister.” According to the information of election officials, on the fourth day of submission of nomination papers, a total of two candidates have submitted their nominations in Brahampur.
