A workshop on Vocational Education and Employment by Opesa

Berhampur, 29/11 (Abhijit Kar): A workshop on Vocational Education and Employment was held by Opesa at the local town hall. It was attended by IREL (India) Ltd., Odisha Sands Complex & DGM – Technical (Safety & Training) Mr. Varghese Antony as the chief guest While inaugurating the workshop, Dr. Srinivas Mahapatra, Chairman of Presidency as the chief speaker, Dr. Chita Ranjan Ranjan Mohanty, Chairman of Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Vice President of OPESA, Mr. Bibhuti Bhushan Tripathi, SMIT President, Bhagwan Gantayat and secretary Ms. Saroj Kumar Sahu were mainly Present in the guests of honor. The main topic of the discussion was that 121 private diploma technical institutes in the state discussed the changes in the diploma course and the need for training to meet the changing conditions of automation and robotics in industrial settings. In addition, how the Department of Diploma Technical Education of the Government of India can follow its well-thought-out path and take appropriate steps on Diploma Technical Education in the state, how NEP-2020 will bring changes in Diploma Engineering and how it will be useful for students to achieve universal success, were discussed in all aspects.

Despite the progress of technical education in the country, the gap observed between education, employment and employers, the strategies we use to solve the problem, he opined on its usefulness in economic progress and it is absolutely necessary for the government to prepare a new plan to change the technical education in the coming days. On this occasion all the President’s of government engineering schools and ITI colleges in Berhampur were felicitated by Opesa, while former students of all private vocational institutes in the south were also felicitated. In this context, the general secretary of Opesa Mr. Saroj Kumar Sahu praised all the guests, lecturers, members of Opesa who were present at the workshop, and finally the joint secretary of Opesa Dr. Deepak Ranjan Das was given the vote of thanks.
