IMD Rainfall Alert: Possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm in these states, Know weather conditions in your state

The torture of summer has started in most areas of the country. However, the weather of some states is changing again and again. According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on April 8, there are chances of rain with strong winds in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. At the same time, a heatwave alert has been issued in the southern states of India.

Seasonal activities of the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance is in the form of a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerly winds with its axis extending from about 5.8 km above sea level to north of 73 degrees east longitude to 28 degrees north latitude. There is a cyclonic circulation over northern Bangladesh and surrounding areas.

Apart from this, a trough is extending from South Chhattisgarh to Vidarbha, Marathwada, Interior Karnataka and Comorin area at low level in Interior Tamil Nadu. A cyclonic circulation lies over Assam and adjoining areas every 1.5 km above sea level. A fresh western disturbance is going to affect the western Himalayan region from April 10.

Delhi’s climate

The period of scorching heat has started in the country’s capital Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear in the country’s capital till April 12. However, there is a possibility of rain with thunder on April 13. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 36 to 38 degrees Celsius this entire week. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to be between 17 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Weather condition of the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is possible over Gangetic West Bengal, East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, West Bengal, Northeast India, Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Central Maharashtra may receive light to moderate rain with sporadic thunder, lightning and strong winds (40-50 km per hour).

Apart from this, between April 9 and 12, light to moderate rain and thundershowers with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-50 km per hour) may occur over Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana and Karnataka. Hailstorm activities are also possible in isolated areas of Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada.
