“Clean Environment Tourism Development” Program at Mohuri Kalua Pitha 

Berhampur, 27/9 (Abhijit Kar): On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a program “Development of Clean Environment Tourism” was held by the Berhampur Green Environment Association (Sabuja Bahini) at the famous tourist destination of Ganjam district Ma Beeuri Kalua. In the event, the association cleaned plastic bottles, plastic and garbage from the main road of the said Shakti Peetha from the road connecting it to the hills. Also, at the end of the program Mr. Binod Kumar Behera, Chief Tourism Officer of Ganjam District, was given a demand letter by the association for transparency in the tourism sector of the district. “Clean Environment Tourism Development” program on behalf of Brahmapur Green Forces has been observed in various tourist areas for the past one year. 

The main objective of this program is to get rid of plastic and garbage in all the tourist spots of Ganjam district and create awareness among the local public and tourists to protect wildlife.  Some of the tourists who come to visit the tourist spots, while enjoying the nature there, destroy the environment by dumping various garbage and setting them on fire. Due to which other tourists do not show interest to come to the said environment and the wild animals face a lot of problems at night. Through such a program, the association has taken up cleaning programs with the local committees in various tourist destinations, how to convert the waste into bio-degradation without setting it on fire, and to make the tourists aware of cleanliness.

By which the tourist places in Ganjam district can create a favorable environment for tourists and Ganjam district can create a special place in the field of tourism in the world. In order to reach this message to the general public, transparency and awareness programs have been nurtured by the association in collaboration with various social institutions and educational institutions. In this awareness and transparency program, Brahampur Sabuj Bahini President Shivram Manigarahi, President A. Prakash, Vice President P. Members like Vinod, Sujit Gaud, Akash Raut, Ravi Sahani, Sagar Prasad Pan, Munna Shatpathi, Praveen Nayak were included.
