Closing ceremony of A two-day’s district level boxing tournament

Brampur, 15/10 (Abhijit Kar): Ganjam district level boxing competition has been organized from 21.10.2013 to 22.10.2013 at Brampur stadium. Mayor of Brahampur Sanghamitra Dalai was the chief guest, Bhagirath Swain was the chief speaker, Gopal Das, Ashok Sahu, K. Prabhakar Rao, Vijay Bhaskar Singh Samantha, Bhimsen Dalai, Upendra Patnaik, Shibram Patra, Ladu Kishore Sahu, Sharat Mahapatra were the main Present in this Program. While 30 boxers won gold medals, 30 boxers got silver medals and 25 boxers got bronze medals. The competition was organized by District Athletic Association under the auspices of Alpha Sporting Club. All the boxers, ex-boxers, coaches, all the workers of Berhampur Stadium, all the workers of Ganjam Boxing Club and many members of the District Athletic Association attended and managed the competition, said Ashok Sahu, secretary of the Ganjam District Athletic Association. National Referee and Local Coach Mr. Shishir Kumar Panigrahi expressed appreciation for the good conduct of the competition as referees and judges and participation of Bulu Patra, Abinash Naik, Sunil, Babu Rao, Sujata Bishoyi, Amrit Sagar Purohit, Prakash Das and many senior boxers.
