Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s wedding: Lesser-known details that will make you smile

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha got married at The Leela Palace in Udaipur on September 24. Fans have not had enough of their wedding as the curiosity around their wedding details continues to intrigue many. From the decor to the menu, new videos and photos from their dreamy white wedding have been making headlines. Parineeti looked ethereal in her ivory lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra. The outfit featured intricate embroidery and special elements close to the couple’s relationship. Among them was a special piece close to the actress’ heart, her nani’s challa. The actress paid tribute to her grandmother by adding her keychain to her outfit.

How Parineeti Chopra paid a tribute to her grandmother

Manish Malhotra had shared pictures of Parineeti’s outfit which gave a closer look at the different elements added to it. One of the pictures was of her grandmother’s keychain or challa, which holds a special place in the actress’ heart. “She wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute to her nani, who used to wear the same challa in her saree with the keys, a symbol of being the lady of the house,” the designer revealed in the caption.

The outfit also featured other elements that were significant to Parineeti and Raghav. These included a London double-decker bus, a telephone booth, music, Khanda Sahib, and the letters ‘P’ and ‘R’.

The actress’ veil was equally special as it was customised with Raghav’s name embroidered on it.

No gift policy

The couple had a ‘no-gift policy’ at the wedding. Moreover, for milni, a tradition in which the bride’s family gives gifts and cash to the groom and his family was limited to Rs 11.

During an interaction with the media, Madhu Chopra revealed that she only gave her blessings to the newlyweds as there was a strict no-gifts policy in place.

The couple will now host two receptions in Chandigarh and Delhi respectively.
