Berhampur, 1/10 (Abhijit Kar): On behalf of Berhampur Mahanagar Dalit Maha Sangh, Hon’ble Berhampur Southern Revenue Commissioner has issued a memorial letter to the Governor of Odisha. Dalit Maha Sangha has said that when our honorable women activist of the Dalit category, Smt. Pramila Mallik took office as the Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, two MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were outraged by the fact that a Dalit woman occupied this prestigious seat. He has shown indecent behavior inside the Assembly House. This behavior is unequal for the entire oppressed and women race, the incident of throwing a stick at an oppressed woman speaker is very reprehensible, it has undermined the dignity of the holy house of the assembly. The sacred house of the Legislative Assembly has the dignity, these two MLAs of the BJP party, Mr. Mahan Charan Majhi and Mr. Mukesh Mahaling, have been suspended from the House by a unanimous resolution passed in the Legislative Assembly for such reprehensible acts.

Our oppressed Maha Sangh welcomes this suspended proposal. Such reprehensible incident will remain a tarnished chapter in the history of the Legislative Assembly.
