Pani Panchayat Program Celebration at Minor Irrigation Division-I

Berhampur, 16/1 (Abhijit Kar): The water resources department of the Odisha government is celebrating the water panchayat party across Odisha from 16th to 30th this year like every year. On this occasion, a ceremony to celebrate the division level water retreat was held in the morning of Tuesday at the office IB premises of Minor Irrigation Division Ganjam Berhampur-1. Honorable Berhampur MP Chandra Shekhar Sahu as the chief guest, State Planning Board member Dr Ramesh Chandra Chowpatnayak and BeMC Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai as the guest of honour, Additional District Agriculture Officer Janki Ballabh Patnaik, were among the guests in the event presided over by the Chief Engineer and Host Mr. Laxmikant Tripathi. Agricultural Science Center Scientist Sushmita Priyadarshni was the main participant. On this occasion, the guests started the meeting by offering water to the tree. While President Shri Tripathi presided over the meeting, the guests informed the farmers about the various schemes and benefits of the government for agriculture and national agricultural products. A part from this, the students who achieved success in various competitions held by the students of different schools on behalf of the departmental office were awarded by the guests. At the end of the meeting, an oath was recited under the leadership of Chief Guest com, MP Mr. Sahu. All the officers and employees of the department were present in this program and made the celebration a success. However, the main attraction was the exhibition of modern agricultural machinery and the exhibition of agricultural systems.
