Inauguration of Swasthya Sadan multispecialty outpatient Clinic
Berhampur, 17/1 (Abhijit Kar): SWASTHYA SADAN, a multispecialty outpatient clinic complex has been inaugurated Wednesday evening at Berhampur in new bus stand road adjacent to the Petrol Pump. The multi facility clinic is the brain child of Berhampur based renowned and senior endocrinologist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota. This was inaugurated by Sri Satyabrata Bhoi, IG, Southern range and Smt J Jayalakshmi, Chairperson, Roland Group of institutes. After the ribbon cutting process, Sri Bhoi went around various facilities of the hospital. He was mouthful of praises for this clinic complex especially for its advantage of availability of medical services pertinent to many departments under one roof, updated diagnostic services, very good patient waiting area and a dedicated parking space in the vicinity of very crowded new bus stand. Currently the clinic would offer services related to many departments like Neurology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Rheumatology, Radiation Oncology.
Dr Kota expressed his efforts in roping in specialists from other departments as well. As per Dr Kota, the advantages of this clinic complex include in house laboratory and pharmacy services, capacious patient waiting area, well trained and courteous staff, apart from its location, which is walkable from the new bus stand and a very large parking area of its own. The lab is well equipped with latest machineries, where the hormone test results can be received within few hours contrary to the current trend of getting the results after few days of giving the blood sample.
Several doctors and well-wishers from the society thronged the inaugural ceremony including Dr .Kamala Kanta Panigrahy (Urologist), Dr. Anand Sankar Sastry (Neurologist), Dr. Gopal Chandra Patro (Orthopedician), Dr. Jitendra Panigrahy (Physician), Dr. Minakhi Muni (Dermatologist), Dr. Abinashi Sabyasachi Sethy (Pediatrician), Dr. Tikina Behera (Psychiatrist), Dr. Pratap Chandra Mandal (Chest Physician). Apart from daily medical consultation, Several Specialists from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam too would offer their consultation on a periodic basis to people of south Odisha. Among other people, family members including Dr Jammula Sruti, Smt. Sowmya Jammula, Dr B. V. V. Ravi Kumar, Dr. Sanat Patro, Sri B. N. Pattanaik, Sri Eeswar Prasad, Sri J. Mohan Rao, Sri A. Rajendra Prasad, Sri K. Prasant were present. Everyone thanked Dr. Kota for his noble effort and wished that the project would indeed be a milestone in the health care service sector for the people of south Odisha.
