Berhampur, 19/3 (D.K.): As per the instructions of the State Bar Council, nominations for the Ganjam Bar Association elections have started from Monday. Election officer Anil Kumar Panda informed that 27 candidates submitted their nominations including 8 candidates on the first day and 19 candidates on the second day. However, on the second day, while Manoj Kumar Patnaik and Sudhir Kumar Mishra submitted their nomination papers for the post of President, Baijayanti Mala Padhi and Jyoti Prasad Chotroy submitted their nomination papers for the post of Secretary.

Similarly, Asit Kumar Sabat, Girija Shankar Behera have submitted papers for the post of Joint secretary, Prabhakar Patra, Sudshanshu Kumar Sethi, V. Rama Rao, Anirudh Kumar Patra, Satyabrat Sahu, Manoj Kumar Naik, Niranjan Behera, Panga Kumar Naik, Rajesh Kumar Raul, Jasketan Padhi, Mirabai Panigarahi, Anjali Kumari Mohanty and Aarti Prabha Maharana have filed their nomination papers among the supporters. In 2nd days, 4 people for the post of president, 6 people for the post of Secretary, 2 people for the post of joint secretary, 2 people for the post of vice president and 13 people for the working member submitted a total of 27 nominations. Candidates will be verified on 14th and the list will be published on 15th, the time for withdrawal of candidatures has been fixed on 16th. Similarly, it is mentioned in the letter of the Bar Council that the final list of candidates will be published on 18. Votes will be accepted on March 30 from 8 am to 3 pm. Election Officer Mr. Panda informed that the results will be announced after the counting of votes from 4 pm.
