Thousands of BJP Workers surrounded the BeMC office

Berhampur, 29/11 (Abhijit Kar): On behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party Berhampur Assembly Constituency, under the leadership of Berhampur Assembly Leader and State Working Member Kanhu Charan Pati, more than five thousand workers have besieged the Berhampur Municipal Corporation office today and staged a protest. Against Corruption, PC Dealing and Malpractice in Berhampur Municipal Corporation Senior leaders of the party presented a petition against corruption in Berhampur Municipal Corporation to the Additional Commissioner of BeMC on the initiative of the Governor of Odisha. In Odisha, the long 24 years of corruption, anarchy, appeasement and inefficient government has become a hub of corruption. The central government’s ‘Amrit Sarobar’ scheme has been named as ‘Mo Pokhari’ by the state government, and 48 ponds under BeMC have been severely damaged, the waters of the ponds in the BeMC area are highly polluted and toxic. Unfortunately, the billions of rupees that came to rehabilitate these wetlands have been embezzled by the leaders of the ruling party, developers, engineers and corrupt officers of the BeMC. As a result of which billions of rupees have been diverted from this central scheme, which should be investigated at a high level.
Similarly, while there is an order to provide leases in Usha Yojana, the slum dwellers of BeMC have not been given leases till date. While central government’s “Har Ghar Nala” scheme fee has been waived, BeMC authorities are charging Rs 7,000 per house which should be stopped as soon as possible. The opposition holding tax hike should be withdrawn immediately, billions of rupees have been siphoned off in the Rajya Yojana, all works are being illegally over-estimated, tendered at a maximum of 5 per cent and the Berhampur Municipal Corporation has flouted all rules of tender and given work to certain ruling party developers through tender-fixing. Strict action should be taken against the construction of substandard roads and drains. Apart from this, corruption in the Prime Minister’s accommodation scheme, corruption in ration cards, harassment of highly corrupt officers and dishonest employees who have been working in the corporation for more than 20 years, should be dismissed and the new generation should be given permanent employment.
In today’s program, Bharatiya Janata Party Ganjam district president, former district president, Sunil Kumar Sahu, Ram Kumar Patra, Prabhat Kiran Shadangi, Corporator D.Karunakar, Sabita Sahu, Ch.Ranjita Behera, Sabita Nayak, District Women’s Morcha President Ratnagarbha Saraswati Devi, District OBC Morcha President Madan Mohan Patra and many other party workers were involved. Before this grand procession, a huge motorcycle procession on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Yuv Morcha, under the leadership of State Yuv Morcha Secretary Tutun Patra and District Yuv Morcha President Siba Shankar Nayak, more than five hundred Yuv Morcha activists Started the local Kampalli Street and reached the Gandhi statue in Gandhinagar and joined the rally.
