Actress Kangana Ranaut has never shied away from stirring the pot with her controversial takes and unpopular opinions. She has always responded to trolls and set the course straight about her intentions on the internet. In similar fashion, Kangana cleared the air on Sunday when an old picture of the actress allegedly hanging out with gangster Abu Salem caught the internet’s attention.
Kangana spotted with Abu Salem?
A twitter user on Friday posted a picture of Kangana where they alleged that the Queen actress was seen hanging out with the gangster Abu Salem. They captioned the post ‘Kangana with Miya.’
The picture soon went viral doing rounds of different social media platforms and charging a discourse about the actress and her alleged connections. Netizens trolled her for the image while many came to her defence.
Kangana clears the air
As the conversation around the photo started getting heated, Kangana chimed in and slammed the user for spreading a false narrative.
Responding to the post, Kangana said that the individual in the picture that many have believed to be gangster Abu Salem is actually her friend and ex TOI entertainment editor Mark Manuel.
Alleging that the original poster is a ‘Congress supporter’, Kangana said that she doesn’t believe that ‘Congress people’ think that her friend is the dreaded gangster who is casually hanging out with her at a Mumbai eatery.
Chandramukhi 2
Kangana is currently riding high on the success of her third Tamil film, Chandramukhi 2. The film was released on 28 September and is performing well at the box office.
Chandramukhi 2 has opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences. The film has earned Rs. 17.60 crore in its first three days at the box office.
Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 also stars Raghava Lawrence.
What’s next for Kangana
Kangana will be next seen in Tejas. The film is slated to release on October 20, 2023. She is also preparing for the highly anticipated film, Emergency where she will be donning the director’s cap as well.
Emergency will also star Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman in titular roles. It will be the last film of the late actor Satish Kaushik.
