Man, Wife Hacked To Death Over Sorcery Suspicion In Odisha’s Gajapati

Gajapati, Sept 26: A woman was allegedly hacked to death by miscreants hours after her husband was killed in a similar fashion in their house in Gajapati district. The incident occurred at Ghodapanka village under Adaba police limits in the district. The deceased has been identified as Kapilendra Malik and Shashita Malik. Sources said, some miscreants on Monday evening attacked Kapilendra and his wife with deadly weapons killing the duo on the spot.

Being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and started investigation into the matter. Worth mentioning, Kapilendra was earlier shot at by miscreants on suspicion of practising witchcraft in February this year.
