Fire breaks out on Humsafar Express train in Gujarat’s Valsad

A fire broke out on Humsafar Express train in Gujarat’s Valsad on Saturday. All passengers of the train were evacuated safely without any injuries reported. The incident took place on Tiruchchirappalli-Shri Ganganagar Humsafar Express near Valsad station. Several people shared videos and photos of the train on social media platform X. In one of the videos, a thick plume of smoke was seen billowing out of Humsafar Express’ coaches as a large number of people gathers around the train.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, efforts are underway to bring the blaze under control, according to officials. Last month, a fire broke out inside the compartment of Rameswaram-bound train at the Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu. At least 10 people were killed in the mishap that took place in the Bharat Gaurav tourist train, which was enroute from Lucknow to Rameswaram, on August 26.
