Division Level Pani Panchayat Week celebrated by the Irrigation Division B’pur

Berhampur, 16/1 (Abhijit Kar): A divisional level Pani panchayat meeting was held on Tuesday morning in the premises of the irrigation water division office at Asika Road First Gate. It was attended by Brahmapur MP Chandra Shekhar Sahu as the inaugural and chief guest, State Planning Board Member Ramesh Chandra Chowpattanaik, District Chief Agriculture Officer Subrat Kumar Sahu, Additional District Horticulturist Rakesh Roshan Behera, Additional Fisheries Officer Tapan Kumar Mahapatra, Nabard Back District as guest of honour. Officer Sanjeev Kumar Mishra was a key contributor. Taking up the work of the meeting, Irrigation Division Executive Engineer Shibram Panda presided over the meeting and informed the management that the Pani panchayat party is being observed from today from 16.1.2024 to 30.1.2024 in the entire state. In this, farmers and farmer brothers were given advice on how to cultivate well with less water and how to solve various problems. In addition, awareness will be spread throughout the week and a district level program will be held on the last day, Executive Engineer Mr. Panda said. As per the instructions of the Department of Education, the office organized various competitions involving many students from different schools of the district and the city. On this occasion, meritorious students were felicitated by the guests. In this meeting, many farmers and farmers brothers of the surrounding area including the departmental officers participated and made the meeting a success.
