CM inaugurated the pilgrimage Scheme for senior citizens from Brahampur railway station

• The journey of 970 people from five districts will return on the 5th of next month.

Brahmapur, 31/10 (Abhijit Kar): Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik has launched “Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme” 2023-2024 from Brahmapur to Trivandrum via video conference at the railway station Brahmapur. Honorable Housing and Urban Development Minister Smt. Usha Devi, MP Berhampur Chandra Shekhar Sahu, MP Asika Pramila Bisoyi, State Planning Board Committee Member Ramesh Chandra Chau Patnaik, MLA Bikram Kumar Panda, Subash Behera, Shrikant Sahu, Latika Pradhan, Suryamani Baidya, State Cashew Development Corporation Chairman Subas Chandra Maharana, Berhampur Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, OTDC Chairman Lenin Mohanty, Senior Citizens Planning Scheme Adviser Durga Prasad Samantaraya, Southern Range RDC T AO, District Collector Ganjam Dibyajyoti Parida, Sub. District Collector Berhampur Ashutosh Kulkarni, PD DRDA V. Kirtee Vasan, Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena, Berhampur SP Sarvana Vivek M, BeMC Commissioner J.Sonal and all departmental government officials and employees were present.

All these programs have been organized under the chairmanship of District Tourism Officer com Deputy Commissioner Binod Kumar Behera. Information has been given that 970 senior citizens of Odisha’s Gajapati, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Ganjam districts will travel from Kanyakumari to Trivandrum along with 30 officers for their maintenance and supervision. It is said that the journey will start from 31.10.2023 and return on 05.11.2023. Similarly, the Minister Mrs. Usha Devi thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister and said that Naveen Patnaik has planned a lot for everyone from the born to the dead, among which all the public representatives have said in their own speeches that they sincerely thank him for planning this pilgrimage for the senior citizens as well. T Kishore Patra, T Tripathi Patra, Padmini Sahu, B. Pushavati, Manoj Mahapatra and many other dignitaries among others participated in the program from various wards of the City’s.
