Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna: Real-life inspiration behind Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani?
New Delhi: There might be various real-life instances in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘s plot, and one of them may be a Bollywood power couple. Director Karan Johar revealed in a new interview with a leading daily that Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna may have inadvertently influenced the key characters of his upcoming film.
Karan Johar’s statement
“Perhaps subconsciously (I was inspired).” In their marriage, they had a fantastic friendship. I’ve had dinners, meals, and just hung out with them. And there’s a wonderful kind of comfort in their friendship. He thinks she’s hilarious, and she thinks he’s humorous for opposite reasons. So I didn’t think it was impossible for people from two distinct societal groups, or strata, to discover love. We seem to place ourselves in boxes. When we’re looking for a relationship, we put ourselves in situations where we feel at ease. But you may fall in love with someone anyplace tomorrow’, Karan stated in the interview.
Akshay Kumar – Twinkle Khanna’s love story
While filming on Umesh Mehra’s 1999 action picture International Khiladi, the two stars began dating. They married in 2001 and have two children: Aarav, a son, and Nitara, a daughter.
Karan attended the same boarding school as Twinkle as a youngster before leaving. Tina (called after Twinkle’s nickname) was written for her in his 1998 directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but she turned it down. Rani Mukerji finally took up the job. Karan and Twinkle are still close to this day.
