12th Mahanagar Mahotsav Mela has been inaugurated

Berhampur, 24/2 (Abhijit Kar): The 12th Mahanagar Mohotsav Mela has been inaugurated on Saturday Evening at the local Khallikot unitary University playground. On the second evening of the festival, former MLA and State Planning Board Committee member Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chow Patnaik, Odisha State Cashew Corporation Chairman Subash Chandra Maharana are formally inaugurated the fair and said that Ganjam district is a hub of art, culture, literature and research. In addition, there is a need for such a festival to preserve our culture and tradition. He emphasized that not only Ganjam district but South Odisha has a uniqueness in the state from art, literature etc. On this occasion Er. Uma Sankar Panigrahi President of the festival committee Narayan Mahankuda, Secretary Gopal Patnaik, vice-president Mihir Ranjan Tripathi, Anil Kumar Patra were the Mainly Present in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Uma Shankar Panigrahi. The 10-day long festival which started from Saturday, the opening evening of the fair started with Krishna Neela by District Culture Department Maa Gram Devati Natya Sansad Kumar Mani, Odisha dance by local artistes, Folklore, Modern dance, Ganjam District Body Building and Fitness Association. Beautiful health was demonstrated by body builders. Another attraction of the festival is the more than 100 stalls from the district state and outside the state, in which household appliances and food items are sold. At the end, Satya Chetan Parida the joint secretary of the festival, gave a vote of thanks. Abhiram Patra, Swatchan Kumar Patra, Anant Pradhan among others contributed to the major management.
