Brahmapur, 12/12 (Abhijit Kar): Prashant Mohapatra, the chairman of the school, organized a press conference on Tuesday evening at the Gurukul International Public School conference room on Guddes Road. In this, he informed the journalists and media representatives and made a complaint that last Sunday evening, Mr. Mahapatra, while going to his farm house, saw the slow construction work on the road and protested. There was an argument between the forest staff present and the owner of the farm house. Later, Girish Rai, the forester of the area, abused the farm house owner Mohapatra over the phone and threatened to kill him. He played a mobile call record in a press conference on Tuesday. Later, he filed a written complaint against the concerned staff at Chamkhandi police station, but the police station officials said that they are not pursuing the case. 

It is worth mentioning that forest department staff and farm house owners have clashed over a Mindaga road near Sindurapalli village, Chhatrapur suburb of Ganjam District Sadar Mahkuma. City Forestry Project is ongoing in the said area by the Forest Department. The said project includes a very old road under Mindaga Yojana. The road which is being used by Prashant Mahapatra, the owner of the farm house on the side of the said project. Now the forest department is constructing a security wall to speed up the project. However, land number 115 of Sindurpalli Mauza under Chamakhandi RI has been handed over by the revenue department to the forest department in 2022 for the city forest project. While there was a road on the said land long ago, the said road does not connect any village. A person was found obstructing the construction work at that place, after proper investigation and report, legal action will be taken by the forest department, Brahampur Bankhand Officer Sunny Khokhar said.
