The internet has been abuzz with rumours that Anushka Sharma is expecting her second child together with her husband, Virat Kohli. We have now received confirmation that the speculations are in fact true!

Virushka is Pregnant

According to a new report in the Hindustan Times, Anushka is pregnant with her second child with Virat. The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress is likely in her second trimester. “Like the last time, the couple will share their happy news at a later stage.”

Pregnancy rumours

The speculation first sparked when fans noticed Anushka’s absence from Virat’s matches and the Ganpati celebrations. This led to rumours that the actress is expecting and that is why she is actively staying away from the public eye.

The report in HT addressed Anushka’s lack of public appearances. A source told the publication that her absence is not a coincidence.

Pregnant Anushka spotted?

The report also revealed that the couple was recently spotted by paparazzi outside a maternity clinic in Mumbai. The couple requested the photographers to not take their pictures with a ‘promise’ to announce the news to the world soon. 

Virushka’s first child

The couple tied the knot in 2017 in an intimate ceremony in Italy. They welcomed their first child, their daughter Vamika, in January 2021.

In an interview with Grazia, Anushka had gushed about the birth of her daughter and the joys of motherhood. She said that being a mother to her daughter has made her a more self-assured individual. “I feel more confident as a person.”

Anushka is awaiting the release of her film, Chakda’Xpress. The movie is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. She was last seen in Qala where she made a special appearance.
